Some of the other vendors have difficulty competing with our products and resort to divisiveness, name calling of our products, calling them silly and cheap, Chinese made with no real evidence to support any of their baseless claims. One vendor accused my ARP products fastener kits of being fake Chinese copies. Yet I am listed in the ARP web-site as a distributor and he is not listed. That borders on the bizarre. Maybe they are following political figures because they had so much success with a lot of name calling. It's the oldest trick in the world and it really calls out how deeply negative these people are. Fear monger people into buying your product over the other guy by being negative and mixing truth and credibility with lies and deceit. Why not, some say, as this may be the only means a smaller vendor has to sell their products which are more often than not overpriced. If their products are better, than why not let the sale rest on just how good their products are without running down everyone else? When people do this, they do so because on some level they don't think their products will win the sale on merit alone. They are jealous. Its not personal. It is their own frustration and problem, not ours. It has become so bad that if I sell a excellent Nissan part, that I never get back for failure ever, that just because I sell it, the Nissan part gets called junk and gets thrown under the bus with me. Who gets thrown under the bus next? Dave Rebello, Gerhardt Gear Aerospace, Manley Valves, BHJ Products? Well in fact some already have tire tracks all across their backs. These are all great companies. When is the next whimsy coming? In this past political environment aren't you tired of criticism without substance? Aren't you tired of falsehoods and bluster? I think we all are tired of that and we've absolutely had enough. Now. Do I point out in my web-site defective tie rods, drag links and other products that are being sold by other vendors that have been tested independently and are truly dangerous? Yes, because I have proof of these claims and I have a responsibility to take care of my customers and to warn people and keep my customers safe. Note that, with the parts we sell, I point out the processes used to create theses parts, materials, blue prints, drawings, attributes of our products, why the materials we used may be better than what else is offered and finally test reports. We do this for transparency and to date, we are the only vendor that goes to the trouble to show this information. Do I make fun of the high prices of other vendors? Yes I do. I have a sense of humor about the high prices, but I don't call their stuff junk and often on the forums, privately and publicly I have praise for other vendors efforts. I don't need their praise. Praise comes from all the repeated sales from my customers worldwide. Lastly, one vendor sells a U20 upper tensioner & U20 oil pump that I worked to design, performed independent testing and worked diligently for 6 months to keep the manufacturer on target to make it exactly to original form, fit and function. This part was made overseas, and he sources this exact same item, not from us, but from a distributor in the US. Only 1 company in the world has ever made an aftermarket upper tensioner and oil pump and it was made for me originally not the other vendors. Of course you will never ever hear that vendor speak ill of that part as he is making money off of my skill and effort and currently sells the exact item in his web-site for a lot more money and then tries to cover his tracks and back peddle, stating that he didn't buy it from me and to stay away from buying the part from me, even though its the same, exact part he sells. Now ask any other vendor, who initiated making any of these parts and they pivot to some other topic. They won't answer. Ask them again. Press them again and again. You won't ever get a straight answer. Weird and quite frankly hypocritical! So who are you going to believe? Us, a business that has worked tirelessly for the past 33 years building a mass of inventory, investing huge sums of monies in making greatly needed parts to support and contribute to the community that no one else was interested in making? or a guy that uses his business as a Ego building device with the air of braggadocio in every single part he sells? Do I mis-characterize the history here? Think this is propaganda? People read the forums. They know that small minded people hide behind their computers with anonymity and say things they would never say face to face in public. People are not stupid. They know better to listen to the criticism of our products. We don't get a hoard of parts sent back. We never get anything back. Instead customers buy our parts, use them and recommend them and that is why we have been a legitimate alternative in the Datsun Roadster community for 33 years. Look at our catalog of restoration products in this section and compare it the other guys. Our parts sell over and over and over again without return or public criticism and interestingly the only criticism you ever see is from some of the other vendors. That is "The Tell", the red flag that the negative intent of what they say is un-true and baseless and it is all because I figured out how to find someone to make a part and or to make a quality part more affordable. I looked at my catalog of parts today and instead of being arrogant like some other vendors, self promoting, I instead felt grateful for all the people with the knowledge and expertise that helped me in a team effort to make these parts available to you. It was never just me. It was collaborative and filled with the best people, with the best intentions. These people have lived their lives as legitimate businesses with integrity and honor and they need not be thrown under the bus with me just because I figured out how to market quality parts to Roadster owners who continue to have faith in our brand. Partnumber: 1122 Datsun Roadster 68 - 70 & 240 Z 68 - 73 Right Hand Outside Door Mirror OUT OF PRODUCTION Rare, unattainable until now, correct and proper right hand sweep base with mirror. NOTE: This mirror is less expensive when purchased with the LH mirror as a set. See part #2323 Outside STANDARD REFLECTION RIGHT HAND side door mirror. Yes it mounts on the passenger door and has the correct angled base. Repeat. This mirror mounts on the right hand door. Can be used for left hand or right hand drive 68 - 70 Datsun Roadsters. Can also be used for 70 - 73 left hand or right hand drive 240Z. There is visible parting line from the Zamac mold on the pedestal of the Left hand Nissan mirror and this has been a bone of contention among Z car owners and Roadster owners for years and there is not a damn thing anyone can do about it as Nissan will not and has not changed it having been made aware of the problem by the world populus for years. The problem has become progressively worse in the past 15 years as Nissan as either, allowed the company that makes this mirror to continue to produce the product with this problem or refused to correct the problem by paying the company to service and repair the tooling. When we had this RH mirror made we had to make a decision. Do we make the mirror with the visible parting line like the Nissan LH mirror to match it or do we make it smooth like they were 40 years ago? Since Nissan will eventually be discontinuing this mirror we opted for the smooth look as we have the parts overseas to develop the LH pedestal to start production when Nissan finally dumps this part from their catalog. They probably should as our mirror has better chrome and a more smoothly polished stainless mirror back plate. The shape of our stainless mirror backplate is the same however the edge of the housing is not rolled in as much over the chamfer on the glass as the Nissan mirror and this particular process can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. We accepted this change as being a non issue as when viewed on the car the difference is subtle. |

We have seen this finishing ring many different ways on late year cars over the years. We've been told that originally they were crystal clear in appearance with silver paint on the back edge. Because of the lack of UV inhibitors in old rubbers a slight yellowing occurs. Often, but not always, these rings are painted front & back in the color of the car, silver, blue, red etc. These, injection molded, repros can be easily painted any color and come in a transparent amber which remarkably look like the originals after being exposed to the sun for decades.< ORDER by Part#1125CL $41.10 1ST PHOTO:Repro amber economy replacement. Can't find a decent shop to accurately cut a mirror to the exact shape of your holder? Well, it's a bit hard to hand cut this shape at the local glass shop. These little replica beauties were reversed engineered to the exact original using CMM technology and were computer cut. Yes we bribed a few out of the company just before production of 100 pieces of the full assembly closed. Get one now or as they say "You snooze, you lose!" Instructions: Purchase glass and fit to mirror frame before plating.Sometimes the ridge of the frame may be bent or tweaked from the old glass being removed or from mis-handling. Test fit the glass. With a small, hobby style, needle nose plies bend the en-closer ridge forward or back to allow the glass to drop into the en-closer freely. Be sure to remove the rust that may have built up around the en-closer where the glass will seat. See 2ND PHOTO.3RD PHOTO GLASS ASSEMBLED. The rust can inhibit the glass from fitting flush to the edge. Do not force the glass as it can break. Once you are satisfied with the fit send out the back plate for plating. Make sure they do not over buff, bend or distort the en-closer. |

Gee, guess the design is really good then! There is no pressure in this hose, but the rubber used is designated for oil resistance and the inner cloth offers additional strenth. INSTRUCTIONS: The assembly is what Nissan came up with. The vinyl boot is inserted into the shift plate hole from the bottom. The vinyl boot is tapered and "cone shaped" and as the vinyl boot is inserted into the hole the diameter of the cone increases. You want to stop when the taper on the vinyl cone matches the diameter of the opening of the shift. Newest version of our vinyl shift boot is marked inside the boot for ease of assembly. Use the outer dash lines for the fold point on 68 - 70 5 speed shift plates and use the inner dash lines for the 68 - 70 1600 4 speed shift plates. One day it was there and the next day gone! These gas cap doors have a small post integral to the casting that have a small spring and washer installed over it. At the end of this post the manufacturer simply peened over the, fragile, Zamac casting to hold everything together. Eventually, through use, this peened area will break and the door will no longer be held tightly in position. Poor little doors will then vibrate off and become road kill. No worries or need to throw away your door-less gas cap or even buy a new original gas cap one(MUCHO DINERO). Here is a great little kit! Partnumber: 2319 Datsun Roadster 68 / 69 Replacement Door Handle Roll Up Knob AFTER MARKET REPLICA USA New style replacement knob for 68 & 69 door handle roll up. The original knob that Nissan provided with the door handle would often come off the chrome handle. The original shaft on the knob was peened over after being assembled into the handle. Through years of use, the peen would break and the knob would come off. Another problem was the method of attachment of the rubber portion of the knob to the metal shaft that would extend through the handle. The inner contact area of the shaft was secured to knob via the molding process onto the knurled area.The old knobs would often pop off the knurled area leaving just the insert attached to the handle.The new style insert that we are receiving with the new style knobs and complete assemblies have a secondary wall, to encapsulate the rubber, thus keeping the rubber knob in place.
